Fellowship of Saint Alban & Saint Sergius

London Branch

The Fellowship of St. Alban and St Sergius was founded in 1927 with the object of furthering understanding between the Eastern Orthodox Churches and the Anglican Church. Throughout its existence it has numbered outstanding priests, theologians, writers and icon painters among its Officers and Membership.

A Conference is held each year with speakers and visitors from a variety of backgrounds - for example at the peaceful Aylesford Priory near Maidstone on the theme of The Cross. Worship plays a very important part in the conference. There is also an annual pilgrimage to St Albans Abbey for an Orthodox liturgy, and a visit to the shrine of Saint Alban; a devotional Talk for Lent given alternately by Orthodox and Western Christians, and various other meetings.
